Oran Milo Roberts Chapter DRT members who attended the Waco workshop include, from left, Diane Davis, June Davis, Judy Smith and Carol Wright. The annual Daughters of the Republic Of Texas District V Workshop was held in Waco Aug. 9 at the Clarion Hotel.

Attending from the Oral Milo Roberts Chapter of Lampasas were Judy Smith, president; Diane Davis, vice president; June Davis, parliamentarian; and Carol Wright, Hostess House Committee chairman.

District V representative Pud Crozier was in charge. Host chapter was Waco's Sterling C. Robertson Chapter, led by president Lorena Buster, who was elected the new District V representative. Dorothy Smith was selected alternate representative.

Madge Roberts, DRT president general, and eight other board of management members attended and gave reports. Presidents of 12 of the 14 chapters in District V reported on their individual chapters.

A salad and sandwich lunch was served in the hotel atrium.

Julia Newbury, president of the Sam Houston Chapter in Belton, invited the district to the September 12, 2009, workshop set in Belton.
