SOCCER

The Lampasas Soccer Association has openings for players on its U19 girls' team and its coed U12 and U14 teams. The association also is trying to recruit players to form a U19 boys' team and a U16 team -- which will be either a girls' squad or a coed team.

BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB

Today is the final day to register for athletics at The Boys and Girls Club of Lampasas. Registration is available for tackle football, volleyball and soccer.

Sign-up is available today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Coaches must pass a background check, attend a coach's clinic and pass a coach's clinic examination.

GREG MAY FATHER-SON GOLF TOURNAMENT

The first-ever Greg May Father Son Tournament tees off Sept. 13 in Waco. The two-day, 36-hole tournament welcomes professional and amateur father son duos, although other combinations are permitted. Registration is $300 per team.
