Central Counties Center Mental Health and Mental Retardation Services is required to develop and implementation plan -- Local Service Area Plan. This applies only to mental health services funded by the Department of State Health Services.

CCCMHMR gathered public input through public forums, focus groups and surveys from May through July on local service needs and priorities and the development of a network of providers.

Public input was incorporated into the LSAP, and the outcome is for consumers to have a choice from among multiple service providers and for CCCMHMR to provide management and oversight of the provider network.

The draft LSAP is on the CCCMHMR Web site for review and public comment from Tuesday through Sept. 15 at www.cccmhmr.org.

The final LSAP will be presented to the CCCMHMR's board of trustees for approval Sept. 23.
