Family Medicine Clinic to open Cove facility

Family Medicine Clinic in Copperas Cove will open its new clinic at 2401 Walker Place at its grand opening on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

"The new location will promote a professional, family-style medical environment with easy patient access and increased visibility from U.S. Highway 190," said Ruben Cardenas, FMC senior administrator. "Our new clinic was designed with the vision and plans to utilize the entire 10,000-square-foot space to provide complete medical services for our patients."

The clinic offers preventive medical care, primary care and comprehensive medical evaluations for patients of all ages. Staff includes boardcertified primary care/family practice physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

Physicians on board include Dr. Robert Perry, Dr. Kristen Anderson, Dr. Dustin Smith and William Montgomery, physician's assistant.

In addition, Drs. Melanie MacLennan and James Kyle Morsch are expected to join the practice in October.

Other specialty services include health screenings, physical exams, acute care for shortterm illness, flu shots, allergy injections, lab, Xray and podiatry services. Same-day appointment options will be available when the facility opens its doors Sept. 2 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, food and refreshments.
