Pretrial set in capital murder case
A pretrial hearing is set Sept. 26 in 27th District Court for Jeremiah John Ellison, 26, of Copperas Cove for capital murder.
He is charged in connection with the death of 31-year-old Hidi Gower of Copperas Cove who was the victim of an alleged murder-forhire plot by her husband, Donald Dean Gower, on July 4, 2007.
In recent court action with Judge Joe Carroll presiding, William Todd Pierce, 43, was sentenced to six years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition. He was credited with jail time served.
For sexual assault of a child under 17, James Ryan Crowley, 25, received two years in the TDC. He was given credit for time served.
Kendall Adam Suto, 20, of was given two 17-month state jail sentences to run concurrently for two counts of burglary of a building.
A 10-month state jail sentence was assessed to Lampasas resident Marvin Douglas Crutsinger, 43, of Lampasas for possession of a controlled substance, cocaine. He received credit for jail time served.
On a charge of driving while intoxicated and felony repetition, Michael Allen Alderson, 36, received 10 years' adjudication probation and must complete a term in a Salvation Army program.
Six years in the TDC was probated to six years for David Zepeda on a charge of driving while intoxicated and felony repetition. Zepeda also must pay a $1,000 fine and attend a substance abuse treatment program.
Elisha Ann Nelson, 21, of Marble Falls received two years' deferred adjudication probation and a $1,000 fine for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. She also was ordered to pay court costs. The charge was prosecuted as a Class A misdemeanor.
On a charge of injury to a child, Elliot Glen Pope, 43, is set for a revocation hearing today.
A pretrial hearings is slated today for Sergio Argumendo Castruita, 26, of Lampasas for aggravated assault on a public servant.
Burnet resident Edward Hershall Alman, 29, had an earlier bond revoked by the judge and reset to $50,000. He is to be arraigned today for criminal conspiracy.
Jana Terese Hernandez is set for a Monday jury trial for two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. The Lampasas resident is 31.
Twenty-six-year-old Matthew Bradley Harris faces a punishment hearing Aug. 29 for theft over $20,000 and under $100,000.
Sept. 5 pretrial hearings are on the docket for Gilbert Flores Jr., 28, for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver; Ty Brooks McCoy, 16, of Morgans Point for theft over $1,500 and under $20,000; Schcobi Laron Grimes, 33, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, cocaine; and Steven Thomas Morris, 21, of Kingsland for theft over $20,000 and under $100,000.
Sept. 12 arraignments are scheduled for Ramiro Canales Jr., 36, of Lampasas for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition; and Allen Leroy Leming, 43, for theft over $1,500 and under $20,000.
Pretrial hearings are slated Sept. 12 for Timothy Wayne Whitley, 57, for aggravated assault/threat with a deadly weapon; Gary Wendell Welch, 55, for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition; and Richard Thurston House, 22, of Dublin for theft over $20,000 and under $100,000.
Temple resident Michael Carl Mesecke, 57, is expected to enter a plea Sept. 12 for manufacture of a controlled substance.

Sept. 26 plea hearings are scheduled for Kody Kidd Burden, 17, for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and Adam Iziah Castillo, 17, for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Sept. 29 jury trials are to be held for Christina Nichole Bruton, 23, for sexual assault of a child under 17; Dwayne Harlan Camp, 38, of Amarillo on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine; and Arlyn Levert Williams, 37, of Early for possession of a chemical with intent to manufacture.
Kempner resident Benjamin Charles Fitzgerald, 17, was given a $500 personal recognizance bond and will face punishment Oct. 10 for debit card abuse. A presentence investigation was ordered.
Steven Eugene Daulton, 39, charged with forgery, faces an Oct. 17 plea hearing.
An Oct. 24 plea is expected to be entered by Armando Rosales, 30, for criminal mischief over $1,500 and under $20,000.
Forty-five-year-old Richard Guy Jensen of Copperas Cove is set to enter a plea Oct. 10 for aggravated assault/threat with a deadly weapon. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered by the judge.
Diane Renteria Hernandez, 51, of Lubbock is to have an Oct. 24 adjudication hearing for possession of a controlled substance, cocaine.
Jury trials are slated Oct. 27 for Jerry Glenn Patterson, 58, of Lampasas for three counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver; Rudolpho Garza Llanas, 25, for driving while intoxicated with a child passenger; Thomas Aguirre, 52, for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition; Eddie Lee Moreno, 46, of Kempner for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition; Jason Dwayne Lamb, 35, of Kempner on a charge of hindering a secured creditor; and Walter Perry Elam, 54, of Lampasas for prohibited substance in a correctional facility.
Moreno also is set to enter a plea for a second charge of driving while intoxicated and felony repetition.
Jennifer Fralin, 27, of Lampasas is set for a Nov. 14 review for theft over $1,500 and under $20,000.
Dec. 8 jury trials are on the docket for Gilbert Chris Martinez, 44, of Lometa for sexual assault of a child under 17 and Lorrie Ann Westberry, 38, of Lampasas for driving while intoxicated with a child passenger.
The state dismissed an order for community supervision for Mary Loretta Martinez, 39, on a charge of fraudulent prescription form.
George Truitt, 42, had his probation amended in order to attend a substance abuse felony program. Truitt is charged with evading arrest with a vehicle.
