Milvern Ivey Milvern King Ivey, 70, of Evant died Aug. 19, 2008, at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco.

Funeral services are Aug. 23 at 10 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas. Burial will be at Long Cove Cemetery near Lometa.

Mr. Ivey was born April 11, 1938, in Temple, the son of Felix Milvern and Georgia Frances King Ivey.

He married Marsha Gross on Sept. 15, 1972, in New Orleans, La.

Mr. Ivey was a professor of music at Loyola University, Western Michigan University and University of North Texas.

He was a member of the American Chorale Directors Association and Texas Music Educators Association.

Survivors include his wife of Evant; and a number of cousins and other relatives.

Memorials may be made to the Department of Music at University

of North Texas in Denton.
