Judge gives jail sentence
In a short docket last week, 27th District Court Judge Joe Carroll sentenced Mitchell Colby Gardner, 22, to one year in state jail for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
The judge also gave Gardner 10 years' probation for theft over $20,000 and under $100,000, and ordered him to pay $5,360 in restitution.
A pretrial hearing is Friday for Rudolpho Garza Llanas, 25, on a charge of driving while intoxicated with a child passenger.
An Aug. 15 pretrial is on the docket for Edward Allen Cain Jr., 42, of Lampasas for aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.
Pretrials are set Sept. 26 for Malcolm Scott Walker, 21, for burglary of a building, entry with intent to commit theft; and Cody Edward Eckley, 17, for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Burnet resident Mary Anne Curington, 53, is set for a Sept. 29 jury trial for possession of a chemical with intent to manufacture.
