Clear Creek Baptist plans Homecoming Weekend
Clear Creek Baptist Church will celebrate Homecoming Weekend today and Saturday at 7 p.m. at the church, west of Copperas Cove off U.S. Highway 190 at 3350 FM 2657.
The church, founded in 1872, is celebrating 136 years and its pastor, the Rev. Thomas M. Edwards, who has been at the church for more than 33 years.
A church revival with special music is offered.
This Sunday, Sunday School will be held for all ages at 9:45 a.m. Brother Ken Laney, director of missions for the Lampasas Baptist Association out of Gatesville, will bring the message.
Morning worship service is set at 11 a.m.
The Praise Team and Sanctuary Choir will lead the worship in singing.
Doris Henry Magnor, church historian, will share highlights of Clear Creek's history. Mrs. Magnor has been church pianist for over 35 years.
A covered-dish meal will follow the morning service.
