Roger Williams A multi-county Texas Victory 2008 Rally will be hosted Aug. 25 at the Marble Falls Lakeside Pavilion, beginning at 6 p.m.

Speaker for the event will be former Texas Secretary of State Roger Williams, who is heading the statewide Republican get-outthe vote campaign to energize and train grassroots volunteers in preparation for the November elections.

Texas Victory 2008 is designed as a fund-raiser to assist Republicans running for office.

Cost is $25 per person. Snacks and hors d'oeuvres will be served along with drinks. Caterer for the event will be River City Grille. All proceeds go to Texas Victory 2008.

Republican county officials and Republican clubs from Blanco, Burnet, Lampasas and Llano counties may serve on the Host Committee at a cost of $100.

Lampasas County hosts thus far include County Judge Wayne Boultinghouse, David and Julie Laine, Jimmie and Vicki McLean, and Skipper and Marcia Wallace.
