2008-08-08 / Lifestyles
The Look Good...Feel Better program is a free, nationwide effort to offer women support to cope with their appearance after side effects from cancer treatments.
Services, which range from group workshops to cosmetic tips and resources, are available in the Lampasas community.
According to a recent survey, 83 percent of women reported feeling self-conscious about their appearance during treatment, among other findings.
On Monday, class will be held at 1 p.m. at Rollins Brook Community Hospital, 608 N. Key Ave. Patients in active cancer treatment who are interested in participating are asked to phone 556-2190 to reserve a spot.
