Beatrice Ellis Funeral services for Beatrice Casbeer Ellis, 101, of Lampasas were Aug. 7, 2008, at First United Methodist Church in Lampasas with the Rev. Gene Tyson officiating. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Ellis died Aug. 3 at Rollins Brook Community Hospital in Lampasas.
She was born Dec. 9, 1906, in Lampasas, the daughter of Henry Bittick and Alice Susan Fletcher Casbeer.
She married Everett Ellis in 1945 in Stamford.
Mrs. Ellis studied music at Baylor College (now University of Mary Hardin-Baylor) in Belton. She also studied music at the Washington Conservatory in Washington, D.C., and at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Mrs. Ellis taught piano for over 50 years.
She had been a member of First United Methodist Church in Lampasas where she served as church instrumentalist.
Mrs. Ellis was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the National Guild of Piano Teachers.
Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her husband and by eight siblings.
