      Funeral services for Beatrice Casbeer Ellis, 101, of Lampasas were Aug. 7, 2008, at First United Methodist Church in Lampasas with the Rev. Gene Tyson officiating. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Ellis died Aug. 3 at Rollins Brook Community Hospital in Lampasas.

      Funeral services for Cecile Bacque' Meech, 87, of St. Martinville, La., were Aug. 5, 2008, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Henry Bordeaux officiating. Burial was at St. Joseph Mausoleum. Mrs. Meech, the daughter of Henri and Anna Broussard Bacque', died Aug. 3 at a St. Martinville nursing home.
