Man gets 12-year jail sentence

John Ebon Woodruff, 34, was sentenced to 10 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division and two years in state jail on two counts of illegal dumping: disposal. He was credited with jail time served.

The sentence was handed down after a jury trial last week in the 27th District courtroom of Judge Joe Carroll.

In other action, David Valles, 44, was punished with four years in jail for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition. He was credited with time served.

On a charge of aggravated assault on a public servant, 20-year-old Robert Benjamin Pulte received three years in jail.

Douglas Lynn McGuffey, 22, had his bond revoked and increased to $100,000 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

James Worth Nesom, 51, was given nine months probation and a $1,000 fine for driving while intoxicated.

Copperas Cove resident Christopher Ronald Bagley, 19, failed to show up for court. An arrest warrant was issued, and his bond was increased to $100,000. Bagley is charged with deadly conduct.

In a bond hearing, 23-year-old Jay R. Bagley Jr., charged with burglary of a habitation, had his bond lowered to $10,000. He is set for a revocation hearing Oct. 10.

Kempner resident Jason Dwayne Lamb, 35, is scheduled for a pretrial hearing today for hindering a secured creditor.

James Ryan Crowley, 25, is set to enter a plea Aug. 8 for sexual assault of a child under 17.

Aug. 8 pretrial hearings are set for Sergio Argumendo Castruita, 26, of Lampasas for aggravated assault on a public servant and for Marvin Douglas Crutsinger, 43, of Lampasas for possession of a controlled substance, cocaine.

Aug. 8 arraignments are set for Edward Hershall Alman, 29, of Burnet on a charge of criminal conspiracy; Gilbert Flores Jr., 28, for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver; and Walter Perry Elam, 54, of Lampasas for prohibited substance in a correctional facility.

Matthew Bradley Harris, 20, is expected in court Aug. 15 for a plea on a charge of theft over $20,000 and under $100,000.

Thirty-nine-year-old George Gail Minga of Killeen faces an Aug. 22 punishment for forgery.

An Aug. 15 pretrial hearing is scheduled for Eddie Lee Moreno, 46, of Kempner for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition. Moreno also is scheduled for an Aug. 15 revocation hearing for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition.

Other pretrial hearings set Aug. 15 are for Thomas Aguirre, 51, for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition and for Benjamin Charles Fitzgerald, 17, of Kempner for debit card abuse.

An Aug. 22 pretrial hearing is slated for 20-yearold Bruce Anthony Cardenas. The Copperas Cove resident is charged with assault on a public servant.

On two charges of theft over $1,500 and under $20,000, David Lee Carroll, 45, of Marble Falls is set for a Sept. 5 plea hearing.

Steven Ray Wilson, 24, is scheduled for an adjudication hearing Sept. 12 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. He also faces a punishment hearing that date for evading arrest with a vehicle.

Also charged with evading arrest with a vehicle, Lampasas resident Michael John Minosky, 36, has a Sept. 12 plea hearing. A presentence investigation was ordered.

A punishment hearing is on the Sept. 12 docket for Clay Cory Havins, 41, for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition.

A jury trial is set Sept. 29 for Ashley Monique Montemayor, 32, on a charge of possession of a chemical with intent to manufacture.
