      The Lampasas FFA chapter attended the 80th annual Texas FFA Convention recently in Lubbock, joining over 9,600 members, advisers and guests at ceremonies at Texas Tech University's United Spirit Arena.

      The Adamsville Heritage Society will meet Aug. 11 for a strategy meeting at the home of Betty Rials. The USAA established the All- American Scholars Award Program to offer deserved recognition to superior students who excel in the academic disciplines.       A drug once approved as an antihistamine in Russia improved thinking processes and ability to function in patients with Alzheimer's disease in a study conducted there, said an expert at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
