Mrs. D'Spain
Joy D'Spain Funeral services for Joy Edelbrock D'Spain, 64, of Lampasas are Aug. 1, 2008, at 10 a.m. at Lometa Church of Christ with Aubrey Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow at Cauble Cemetery in Burnet County.
Mrs. D'Spain died July 30 after a long battle with cancer.
She was born June 30, 1944, in Fort Worth, the daughter of William Weldon and Alice Daggett Edelbrock.
Mrs. D'Spain attended primary school for a time in Briggs and Burnet before finishing high school at San Marcos Baptist Academy in 1963.
She married Jessie Darrel D'Spain on June 8, 1963, in Midland.
Mrs. D'Spain was a homemaker and longtime resident of Waxahachie and Lampasas.
She enjoyed reading, sewing and gardening. She was very involved in Lometa Church of Christ where she was a member since 1982.
Survivors include her husband of Lampasas; two sons, Troy D'Spain and wife, Julie, of Milford, Mich., and Paul D'Spain and wife, Kelly, of Pflugerville; three grandchildren, Sarah D'Spain, Christopher D'Spain and Hannah D'Spain; a sister, Jo Alice Carpenter and husband, Harrell, of Thibodaux, La.; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother, William Port Edelbrock.
