      Funeral services for Joy Edelbrock D'Spain, 64, of Lampasas are Aug. 1, 2008, at 10 a.m. at Lometa Church of Christ with Aubrey Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow at Cauble Cemetery in Burnet County. Mrs. D'Spain died July 30 after a long battle with cancer.

Mr. Haywood
      Doyle R. Haywood, 76, of Lampasas died July 23, 2008, at the Temple VA Hospital. The body will be cremated and his ashes will be placed at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen at a later date. Mr. Haywood was born March 23, 1932, in St. Joseph Parish, La., the son of Sam and Amy Morgan Haywood.
