Woman receives six-year jail sentence
In recent 27th District Court action with Judge Joe Carroll presiding, Mary Lou Plumley, 47, of Lampasas was given six years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. She was credited with jail time served.
Ms. Plumley also received 10 years' probation for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.
In other court action, 31-year-old Heather Dolly Vaughn was given 11 months in state jail for possession of a controlled substance.
Ten years' deferred adjudication probation was assessed to Dereck Andrew Cox, 19, of Lampasas for criminal mischief with a deadly weapon. Cox also was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and to complete a boot camp program.
On a charge of driving while intoxicated and felony repetition, Earnest Harold Smiley, 58, was given six years' probation and a $1,000 fine. He also was ordered to serve 10 days in the Lampasas County Jail and must complete a Veterans Administration alcohol treatment program as a condition of probation.
Joseph Howard Farr, 20, of Copperas Cove was given four years' deferred adjudication probation for evading arrest with a vehicle. He also was ordered to complete 300 hours of community service and pay a $1,000 fine. In addition, Farr must serve 10 weekends in county jail.
For possession of a controlled substance/methamphetamine, Waco resident Cheri Downing Spencer, 40, received three years' deferred adjudication probation and a $1,000 fine. She also must pay $140 in restitution.
Claudio Nieto Barnes, 34, of Killeen tested positive on a drug test, and his bond was revoked. Barnes, who was remanded to jail, is charged with possession of a controlled substance, cocaine.
An arrest warrant was issued and bond increased to $300,000 for Shaun Keone Spencer, 19, of Killeen for failing to show up for court. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance, cocaine.
An open plea is to be heard Friday for Mitchell Colby Gardner, 22, for theft over $20,000 and under $100,000.
Friday pretrial hearings are set for Edward Allen Cain Jr., 42, of Lampasas for aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury; Rudolpho Garza Llanas, 25, for driving while intoxicated with a child passenger; and for Cody Edward Eckley, 27, for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Elliot Glen Pope, 43, faces a revocation announcement Aug. 8 on a charge of injury to a child.
Pretrial hearings are on the Aug. 8 docket for Dwayne Harlan Camp, 38, of Amarillo for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine; Jerry Glenn Patterson, 58, of Lampasas on three charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance; Gilbert Chris Martinez, 43, of Lometa for sexual assault of a child under 17; Michael Allen Alderson, 36, for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition; and Richard Thurston House, 22, of Dublin for theft over $20,000 and under $100,000.
Pleas are expected to be heard Aug. 8 by Kendall Adam Suto, 20, for two counts of burglary of a building and by Mary Loretta Martinez, 39, for fraudulent prescription form.
Wesley Gene Talbert, 29, of Lampasas is set to enter a plea Aug. 22 for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. A presentence investigation was ordered.
A pretrial hearing for Jonathan Hurt, 23, of Ballinger is slated Aug. 22. He is charged with forgery.
A jury trial is scheduled Aug. 25 for Christina Nichole Bruton, 23, for sexual assault of a child under 17.
A presentence investigation was ordered for Mari Angelique Salazar, 33, of Lampasas. She faces a Sept. 8 plea for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
