Woman receives six-year jail sentence
      In recent 27th District Court action with Judge Joe Carroll presiding, Mary Lou Plumley, 47, of Lampasas was given six years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. She was credited with jail time served.

LISD zoning forums on tap
      Lampasas Independent School District will hold an elementary school zoning public forum at 6:30 p.m. tonight at Kempner City Hall. Another forum is scheduled for Aug. 7 at 6:30 p.m. at Lampasas Middle School cafeteria. The public is invited. Questions from the audience are encouraged by LISD administrators and trustees.
