The Blue Blazes track club is well represented at the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation Games of Texas state track meet in San Antonio, with seven Lampasas athletes competing. Field events were scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Thursday, and the meet runs through Sunday.

The following Blue Blazes qualified for the Game of Texas:
Ashley Lowery: 100-meter hurdles and 300 hurdles, 18 and under age group
Frank James: shot put, 18 and under
Cody Crofoot: discus and 300 hurdles, 14 and under
Josh Barbero: 110 hurdles, 14 and under
Presley Peters: 80 hurdles, 12 and under
Blake Graham: long jump, 12 and under
Caitlyn Shaughnessy: 80 hurdles, 12 and under
