LHS Class of 1983 gathers for 25-year reunion during Spring Ho
The Lampasas High School Class of 1983 met on Courtyard Square to watch the Spring Ho Parade July 12 before attending their 25-year reunion at Mesquite Creek Reception Hall in Lampasas.
Classmates attending included Joe Adams, Ronny Baker, Frank Ball, Laura Bays Skaggs, Lesley Berry, Rickey Brown, Mary Carroll Earnest, Jeff Cockburn, Troy Coppenger, Lance Cox, Ronald Dayton, Vicki Fry Taylor, Rachael Fukuda Brown, Christine Garland McLendon, Scott Hankal, Gay Havins May, Jill Henniger Harrington, Sally Hensler Yancy, Paul Irvin, Shane January, Carrie Johnson, Matt Karcher, Kathi Keleher, Donna Keller Jurek, Matthew Kiley, Mike Kinabrew, John King, Judy Ann Lansford McCartney, Bill Lee, Janna Martin Hammett, Julie Martin Bucek and Bill Mathis.

Classmates and their families in attendance came from as far away as Japan.
A catered dinner was served, and Janet Melton took the class on a walk down memory lane, followed by an awards presentation.
Awards went to the following.
Where's Waldo Award: Awarded to the classmate who was the hardest to find, Bill Mathis.
Ozzie and Harriet Award: Given to the classmates married the longest, Donna Keller Jurek (28 years) and Mary Carroll Earnest (25 years).
Brady Bunch Award: Given to the classmate with the most children, Jill Henniger Harrington, 10 children ranging in age from 1 to 22 years old.
Newlywed Game Award: Given to the classmate most recently married, Matt Karcher.
Christopher Columbus Award: Presented to the classmate who traveled the farthest to attend. Frank Ball came from Japan.
Rocking Chair Award: Given to the classmate with the most grandchildren, Lanette Roberts Higgins.
Youngest Grandchild Award: winner, Carrie Johnson.
Rogaine Award: Presented to the classmate with the least hair, Lance Cox.
First to Retire Award: John King, retired from the U.S. Navy after 21 years of service.
The class will make a donation to the Reed Scholarship Fund in memory of the following classmates: Andy Hebert, Martha Brown, Tommy Joe Welch and Bobby Jack Smith.
