Lucille Reed Lifetime Lampasas resident Lucille Reed died July 20, 2008, at Spring Oaks Nursing & Rehab. She was 99.

Graveside services were July 24 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas with the Rev. J.W. Hutcherson officiating.

Mrs. Reed was born Oct. 12, 1908, in Lampasas, the daughter of William and Edith Doolittle.

She had lived in Lampasas all of her life and was a member of First United Methodist Church where she participated in the CAPS program.

As a younger woman, she worked on the family farm.

Survivors include three sons, Arthur Jones, of Lampasas, and Arthur Reed and John Henry Reed, both of Denton; a nephew; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Richard and David, and by a sister.
