Couple plan August wedding
      Elizabeth Lynn Maddox of Lometa and Kasey Christopher Mock of Kyle plan to exchange wedding vows in an Aug. 16, 2008, ceremony at First Baptist Church in Lometa. Miss Maddox is the daughter of Tommy and Kay Maddox of Lometa. She is pursuing a communications degree at Texas State University.

Ag payment program sign-up continues
      Sign-up for the 2008 Direct and Counter-cyclical Payment program, which offers the option of an advance payment, continues at U.S. Department of Agriculture service centers until Sept. 30. Producers can sign up online or fill out a DCP contract at any USDA service center.
