Johan Oosthuizen of Lampasas received a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from Stephen F. Austin State University at Nacogdoches during spring 2008 commencement exercises at the William R. Johnson Coliseum.

Tarleton State University has released its "A" Honor Roll and Distinguished Student lists for the spring 2008 semester.

To be eligible for the "A" Honor Roll, a student must have a 4.0 gradepoint average while taking at least 12 semester hours.

From Lampasas, those honored include Jera Canales, interdisciplinary studies; Billie Elkins, communications; Joanna Hensley, communications; and Sari Smart, exercise and sport studies.

Freshman and sophomore students who have a minimum 3.25 gradepoint average and no grade lower than C, and juniors and seniors with a minimum 3.5 grade-point average with no grade lower than a C are elig for the Distinguished Students' List.

From Kempner, those recognized included Andrea Aguilar, business administration; and Justin Good, music.

Lampasas residents on the honor list included Thomas Feild, exercise and sport studies; and Joni Perry, business administration.
