Null's accomplishments in the classroom recognized
      Former Badger and current West Texas A&M University starting quarterback Keith Null has been recognized on a handful of preseason All- America lists this summer, almost to the point of it becoming old hat. On Wednesday, he proved he's not up in Canyon just for a football degree.

Blue Blazes shines at Temple track meet
      Behind strong showings in the field events and hurdles, the Blue Blazes track club brought home five medals, including three golds, from the Temple Meet on Saturday. Ashley Lowery, Presley Peters and Frank James each claimed gold medals. Lowery won the girls' 18 and under 100-meter hurdles. Peters claimed the title in the girls' 12 and under 80- meter hurdles.

      AUSTIN - Michael E. Berger announced plans to retire Oct. 31 as Wildlife Division Director for Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

Its purpose was to offer several levels of firearms training, as well as serve as a basic selfdefense training center. One of the colonel's training tools is that of "mindset," which is really a state of mind and being aware at all times of one's surroundings.
