Smiley is a friendly young Australian cattle dog-mix who is full of energy and affection.

He has a short-haired coat with typical blue heeler markings. He enjoys being around people and getting lots of love.

Smiley is looking forward to finding a new family who will give him lots of love.

Along the Road Home Animal Shelter will set up an adoption site in Lampasas Saturday, weather permitting, at the parking lot of Wal-Mart. Look for the white signs.

Donations of pet food -- especially dog food -- toys, other related items, cat litter or cash are appreciated to support the shelter's efforts to care for homeless pets. The shelter is a non-profit animal welfare organization, and all donations go toward care of the animals.

Lampasas Recycling, 504 Hackberry, is accepting aluminum cans on account for the shelter. Please drop off cans at the recycling center or during any adoption site visit.
