Classics at the Classic will gather Saturday at 7 p.m. at the back parking lot of Storm's Drive-In.

Everyone is invited to this family event and may bring a classic or just visit with vehicle owners.

Classics had its first car show March 15, with 70 entries. Several came from as far away as San Angelo.

Proceeds provided two trade school scholarships for Cody Miller and Rico Sanchez. Cody will attend TSTI in Waco to study in the electric and construction field, while Rico plans to attend UTI in Houston for automotive mechanics.

Next car show is planned for March 2009, and Crystal Bynum has been collecting donations. Trade school scholarships again will be provided.

T-shirt and plaque money also is sought. If interested in donating, contact Sharon Carrigan at 556-5265 or 734-5173, or Mrs. Bynum at 525-9372.

The group also gathered at Inman's Kitchen in Llano with another group of classics, and traveled to Adamsville for its 100-year township anniversary last month.
