David Woods David Hugh Woods Sr., 67, of Lampasas died Dec. 27, 2007, at Rollins Brook Community Hospital in Lampasas.

Funeral services were Dec. 31 at Calvary Baptist Church in Lampasas with Chance Carter and Jim Graham officiating.

The body was cremated following the service.

Mr. Woods was born Sept. 12, 1940, in Johnson City, the son of William Hugh and Lucille Pearl Foster Woods.

He married El Vera "Verdie" Woods on April 16, 1982, in Georgetown.

Mr. Woods was a retired insurance salesman from American National Insurance Co. for many years.

He was a Baptist and a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife of Lampasas; one daughter, Linnea Weatherly, of Angleton; one son, David Hugh Woods Jr., of Blanco; two sisters, Judy Niemann, of Woodsboro, and Joan Connor Luedke, of New Ulm; one brother, Willis Woods, of Brenham; four grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild. SNEED
