GED test to be given

The next GED test at Gatesville High School will be given Jan. 8-9. Those wishing to take the test must complete registration Jan. 2 from 5-7:30 p.m. in room 22 at the high school campus.

Bring a current state or federal photo identification (such as Texas driver's license), a Social Security card and the $65 test fee.

Those who failed the test in 2002 to 2007 and need to retest one or more parts will pay $15 for each part to retest. It must have been six months since the last attempt, or the test-taker must have been to GED classes and have a note from the instructor to retest.

There are other qualifications for those under age 18.

Testing will be in room 22 beginning at 5:15 p.m. both days. Participants should bring a registration receipt and photo ID.

For more information, phone (254) 865-8281 or 865-2460.
