Open letter from a grateful people As you may know, I have moved to San Antonio, where I will continue to work with Tools for Development in Agua Puerca, Mexico. This letter is written by one who has seen a miracle, and out of that miracle comes an outpouring of deepest gratitude. I speak for the people of the Agua Puerca mission located among the indigenous people of central Mexico in response to the work the people of Lampasas have done in the past year and more. The Rev. John Lewis San Antonio "Thank you for bringing hundreds of warm blankets to warm us on cold nights. Thank you for sending teams of doctors and nurses to treat our sick and wounded bodies. Thank you for building a greatly improved educational system for our children. Thank you for granting a college education for two of our talented children. "Thank you for sending two full-time dedicated missionaries to live and serve among us. Thank you for building what promises to be a medical and dental facility among us. Thank you for sending young people from around the world to live and learn among us. Thank you for showing us a better way to plant and raise a garden. "Above all, thank you for telling us of a God of love and demonstrating that love among us. "Out of that gratitude, we offer all we have. We offer prime real estate for the expansion of your building effort. We raise our hands in praise to God for teaching us to love. We offer our strong hands and arms to help raise our people out of poverty. "What do we need in this great work? We need your prayerful support in our effort to build out of isolation and poverty. We need a vastly improved healthcare system including a medical/dental area clinic. We need more dedicated workers like Steven and Maria Lewis. We need the love of God living and working among us. We need your prayers for us. "God bless you and keep you always." |
