CTCOG offers special class to help with balance, falls

"A Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns About Falls," will be prsesented in two eight-hour sessions and uses group discussions, problem-solving strategies, videos and gentle exercise to help older adults learn positive coping methods to reduce the fear of falling and remain active and independent.

Classes are free to the public and are set Jan. 8 to Feb. 8, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30- 7:30 p.m. at Sterling House, 3902 W. Adams, Temple.

Also, coaches' training will be held Jan. 22 at the CTCOG building, 2180 N. Main, Belton from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Class is free.
