Area churches slate services

A number of area churches are offering services or special events in conjunction with the Christmas holidays. A listing of some of those follows.

First Baptist Church of Lampasas will offer a Christmas Eve worship service at 6 p.m.

New Covenant Church's Family Christmas Worship begins at 10 a.m. Sunday.

At Grace Fellowship, Christmas Around the Piano is set at 10 a.m. Sunday.

St. Mary's Catholic Church will hold Christmas Eve Liturgy with Children at 5 p.m. The Christmas Eve Vigil Mass is at 11 p.m.

Christmas Day Mass in English is at 10 a.m., followed by Mass in Spanish at noon.

Christmas Eve Mass will be offered at Lometa's Good Shepherd Catholic Church at 7 p.m.

St. Mary's Episcopal Church will hold an early Christmas Eve service at 4 p.m., and Midnight Mass at 11 p.m. A Christmas Day covered-dish dinner will begin at noon.

At First United Methodist Church in Lampasas, a contemporary worship service is set for 9 a.m. Sunday, followed by Sunday School at 10 a.m. Traditional worship is at 11 a.m.

A Christmas Eve Children's Christmas Pageant is at 5 p.m., and Christmas Eve Candlelight Services will follow at 7 p.m.

First Presbyterian Church will hold Service of the Lord's Day Sunday at 11 a.m. The program, "Lessons, carols and candlelight," is at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve.

Looking ahead, the church will provide a New Year's Eve movie night Dec. 31 at 6 p.m.

Naruna Baptist Church will hold its Christmas service Sunday at 11 a.m.

Calvary Baptist Church will have Sunday evening worship at 7 p.m.

A New Year's Eve Night Watch is open to the public from 7 p.m. to midnight.

School Creek Baptist Church is offering a Christmas Eve service at 5 p.m.

A joint Christmas Eve Candle- light Service by Adamsville Baptist Church and Adamsville Presbyterian Church will be hosted at the Baptist church at 6 p.m.

Faith Lutheran Church's Christmas Eve Candlelight Service is at 7 p.m.

Clear Creek Baptist Church offers a Christmas Choir Sunday at 11 a.m., with an evening church fellowship at 6 p.m.

On Christmas Eve, a Candlelight Service is on tap at 6 p.m.

Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) will hold its Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 6 p.m.

Lometa United Methodist Church's Christmas Eve Communion and Candlelight Service is scheduled for 7 p.m.

And Bend United Methodist Church plans a Christmas Eve Communion and Candlelight Service at 5:30 p.m.
