Lady Cavs top Lady Badgers
Lake Travis 69, Lampasas 52

Jennifer Howard: Senior guard recorded 13 points, six rebounds and three assists.
The Lampasas girls' basketball team's hot streak was snapped on the road Friday night with a decisive loss at the hands of District 25- 4A opponent Austin Lake Travis.

The Lady Badgers (7-11 overall, 1-2 in district) had won five of six games heading into the road tilt but fell behind early and never recovered in a 69-52 loss. Lake Travis remains undefeated in district play.

The Lady Badgers are scheduled to return to action on Friday when they travel to Pflugerville Connally for another district game.

The Lady Badgers were outscored 18-11 in the second quarter and trailed 32-22 at the half. The Lady Cavaliers then outscored LHS 20-10 in the third quarter to all but ice the game.

"Lake Travis did a much better job on the boards than we did, and we gave them way too many second and third shots," LHS head coach Mitzi Lancaster said. "We had a difficult time scoring in the first half. After getting down by 20 late in the third quarter, we were able to cut the lead to as little as 10 points because of great hustle and a willingness to take the ball to the basket."

Casey O'Connor: Senior guard scored a team-high 19 points.
Senior guard Casey O'Connor led the Lady Badgers in scoring with 19 points. O'Connor also added five rebounds.

Fellow senior guard Jennifer Howard scored 13 points and recorded team highs with six rebounds and three assists.
