Electrical maintenance, safety conference set The InterNational Electrical Testing Association is hosting PowerTest, March 17-20, at Hilton New Orleans Riverside in New Orleans, La. This annual conference, promoting electrical maintenance and safety, is attended by industry professionals and students involved with, or responsible for, electrical power systems. Highlights from the conference include an in-depth discussion on safety, reliability and equipment, a new product forum, a trade show, interactive panel sessions and symposiums, and various networking opportunities. Half-day seminars are offered on the last two days of the conference at an additional charge and cover Transformer Protection and Power System Testing. Kerry Heid, president of the NETA board of directors, said New Orleans was chosen as the conference site because it has previously been held there, and "We have always valued the hospitality expressed by the people of this city. Holding PowerTest here is a small but important way to give back to a community which has taken great strides in rebounding in the wake of Hurricane Katrina." For more information, including student and early-bird registration savings, visit www.powertest.org or contact Andrea Allen at (888) 300-NETA (6382). |
