Tree raffle concludes

Lampasas Association For the Arts held its Christmas tree raffle, which generated more than $500 for Vision Downtown Lampasas! projects.

Nancy Gray presented the check recently to VDL representative Jim Rutland. The tree had been on display in the window at Rutland's, and tickets were on sale over the past few weeks at several local businesses.

Tim Cockburn was the winner of the tree. He received his prize and donated it back to LAFTA, complete with decorative handmade ornaments, with the stipulation that it be given to Lampasas Nursing & Rehab Center.

Care-facility employees were appreciative of Cockburn's donation.
