      Funeral services for Ila Bertie Dixon, 93, of Lampasas were Dec. 16, 2007, at Sneed Funeral Chapel with Ministers Jim Shelburn and Elvis Fisher officiating. Burial was at Kempner City Cemetery. Mrs. Dixon died Dec. 12 at Rollins Brook Community Hospital.

      Samuel C. Corder, 90, died Dec. 13, 2007. A graveside service with military honors was Dec. 17 at Killeen Memorial Park. Mr. Corder was born Aug. 22, 1917, in Carrollton, Miss., to Edna Barbara Emmons and Sammie Corder. He married Vera Clark on May 11, 1940.
