Freshman girls flawless
Sub-Varsity Basketball

Tuesday night's 42-20 win against Burnet ran the Lampasas High School freshman girls' record to 14-0.

Marisa Bogart led the Lady Badgers with 14 points. Madison Morris recorded seven points and six rebounds. Jennifer Herron had seven points, four boards and a team-high five assists. Fallon Holland added five points.

The win came on the heels of the team's second tournament title of the season. The Lady Badgers, who won the Killeen Shoemaker Tournament in November, beat Llano, St. Andrews and Burnet to capture the Llano Tournament crown last weekend.

Against Llano in the first round, Bogart had 12 points and five steals, and Morris scored 11 points. Holland had five rebounds, and Herron had four steals and four assists.

Against St. Andrews, Morris scored 19 points, Bogart had 10, and Herron added nine points and six assists.

In the championship game against Burnet, Morris scored 11 points, Mikenzi Myrick scored eight, and Bogart chipped in seven.

LHS JV Girls 52, Burnet 48: The junior varsity girls followed their title at the Llano Tournament last weekend with a thrilling home win on Tuesday.

Lori Stafford scored a game-high 18 points, Kaylyn Urofsky added 11 points and 11 assists, and Kayla Lowery recorded 14 points and 10 rebounds in the win.

The Lady Badgers (7-8, 1-1) went 3-1 in the pool-play tournament, beating Llano, 40-32, in the championship game.

Stafford scored a game-high 18, and Urofsky had eight assists in the win.

LHS JV Boys at Robinson

Tournament: The Badgers (5-8) opened the tournament with two straight wins but finished 2-2 on the weekend.

In a 51-29, opening-round win against China Spring, Zach Radenz scored 10 points, and Eduardo Davila added nine.

In a 39-34, second-round victory over West, Astin Murray scored 11, and Davila had 10.

Jorge Mendoza scored 14 in a 43- 38, semifinals loss to Waco Connally and 16 in a 46-43 loss to Robinson.

LHS 9th Boys at Robinson Tournament: The Badgers (4-7) went 1-2 at the three-day tournament.

In a 41-22 loss against LaVega, Colton Perkins scored 13 points.

In a 32-30 win against West, Perkins tallied 16, Lazarus Salazar scored eight, and Ryan Peter added six.

In a 34-23 loss against Robinson, Perkins scored five, and Salazar and Peter added four apiece.
