Classics cruise to Llano

Top photo: Danny and Brenda Britton with some of the classics on exhibit.
Classics at the Classic cruised to Inman's Kitchen in Llano last weekend. Leading the cruise were Danny and Brenda Britton in their 1930s lime green Plymouth sedan.

Joining in were Conan Magilke and daughter, Sadie, in their John Deere truck, John and Donna Brooks of Hamilton in a pink Studebaker, Jerry and Pat Hunt of Copperas Cove in a white Corvette, and Scott and Sharon Carrigan and her daughter, Jamie Key, in a blue and white Challenger.

The group dined on brisket and turkey sausage and visited with owners Horace and Myrtle Oestreich.

The group also toured the restaurant, the former site of the "Ramblin Rose" dance hall. On the dance floor was a purple and white GTO, a black Trans-Am and a white Corvette.

The Brittons reminisced about the times they danced on that same floor more than 30 years ago.

The owners invited the group to visit again, and Classics at the Classic plans to return in March.

The auto enthusiasts gather the first Saturday of each month in the back parking lot of Storm's Drive- In. During the winter months, the group will likely plan cruises.
