UMHB's grid season ends in D-III semis

University of Wisconsin- Whitewater handed University of Mary Hardin-Baylor a 16-7 defeat in the NCAA Division III semifinals in Whitewater, Wis., on Saturday.

The Crusaders, who have advanced to the national semifinals twice in the last four years, finished the season 12-2 with both losses coming on the road to Wisconsin- Whitewater.

UWW advances to the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl to face D-III power Mount Union on Saturday.

Lampasas High School graduates Kristen and Kirsten Leverett play for UMHB. Kristen finished the season with 12 solo tackles and 16 assists for 28 total tackles. Twin brother Kirsten finished with two solos and two assists.
