It's a girl!

Michael and Amy Harlien of Lubbock are the parents of a daughter, Kate Michael, born Oct. 29, 2007, at 2:20 p.m. at Covenant Medical Center-Lakeside in Lubbock.

At birth, Kate weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches in length.

Grandparents are Ronny and Sue Ellen Bumpus of Lampasas, and Mel and Phyllis Harlien of Lubbock.

Great-grandparents are Henry and Virginia Martens of Crosby; Billie Wade of Cleveland; and the late Ray and Sadie Fuller and John and Brownie Bumpus, all of Lampasas.

Daughter born

Benjamin and Savannah Blackburn of Bend announce the birth of their daughter, Bailey Ray, born Oct. 27, 2007, in Georgetown.

Upon arrival, Bailey weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches in length.

Grandparents are Stephen and Sally Baxter of Bend; Benjamin and Vivian Blackburn Jr. of Lometa; and the late Kathy Blackburn.

Great-grandparents are S.A. and Kathy Baxter, and Mary Jane Baxter, all of Lampasas; Betty Baker of Fort Davis; the late Charles Baker of Coyanosa; Mildred Bohning and the late Bob Bohning of Lometa; the late Benjamin and Ruth Blackburn, and Dewaine and the late Bob Gilbertson of Minnesota.
