Mr. Hines

Roy Melton Hines, 76, of Gatesville died Dec. 2, 2007, at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple.

Graveside services were Dec. 5 at Senterfitt Cemetery in Lometa with Wes Covey officiating, assisted by James Bowlin.

Mr. Hines was born March 2, 1931, in Pilot Point, the son of Jimmy and Mary Jane Coffee Hines.

He married Lillian Ramona Conley on June 21, 1969, and she preceded him in death.

Mr. Hines was a general laborer and a member of Gatesville Revival Center.

Survivors include a sister, Betty Watson, and husband, Phillip, of Walnut Springs; a brother-in-law, James Conley, and wife, Gayle, of McGregor; brothers, Kenneth Hines, of Oklahoma, and Jimmy Hines Jr., of California; daughters, Janice Davilla, and husband, Javier, of Colony, and Loretta Villa, of San Saba; sons, Walter Hines, and wife, Brenda, of Evant, Troy Hines, and wife, Debra, of North Richland Hills, Nolan Hines, and wife, Pam, of Brady, and Ray Hines, of Cleburne; many grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Hines was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Inman, and by a brother, Edward (Boots) Bourland.
