Mrs. Thorp

Betty Louise Thorp, 86, of Lampasas died Dec. 1, 2007, at Spring Oaks Nursing & Rehab.

A memorial visitation is Dec. 6 from 6-8 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas.

The body will be cremated.

Mrs. Thorp was born June 3, 1921, in Kansas City, Kan., to E.G. and Ella Zook Harman.

She graduated from Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, and went on to graduate from the University of Kansas.

She married John A. Thorp in 1953 in Kansas.

Mrs. Thorp was a physical education teacher in her early career and later was a homemaker.

She was a Methodist.

Survivors include her husband of Lampasas; and a sister, Bernadine Lucas, of Austin.

The family requested memorials be made to Order of the Eastern Star, Willis, TX 77318.
