Hogs found dead at county ranch

Lampasas County Game Warden Jim Lindeman is investigating the death of two pigs on land in Lampasas County owned by Burke Brown.

Brown's grandchildren raise hogs on the acreage, and on Monday, two breeding sows were discovered dead there.

David Fisher, owner of the hogs, said there is no connection between these deaths and the recent deaths of hogs owned by Mike Hail that were poisoned in the county.

One of Fisher's hogs was killed and left in the pasture, while the carcass of a second hog was taken from the scene.

A third hog was not disturbed.
