Cru keeps rolling through playoffs

The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor cruised to a 64-0 win against North Carolina Wesleyan in the second round of the NCAA Division III playoffs on Saturday at Tiger Field in Belton.

The Cru (11-1) is scheduled to play Wesley College (11-1) in a third-round game Saturday at Dover, Del. The Wolverines are coming off a 38-21 win against Muhlenberg on Saturday.

Former Badgers Kristen and Kirsten Leverett did not record a tackle in the game.

On the year, Kristen has registered 12 solo tackles and 16 assists for 28 total tackles. Kirsten has recorded two solos and two assists.

NW Missouri 56, West Texas A&M 28: Former Badger and current junior WTAMU quarterback Keith Null threw for 360 yards and two touchdowns on Saturday, but it wasn't enough to score a road upset against national power Northwest Missouri State at St. Joseph's, Mo.

Null's Buffaloes finished the season 12-1 after the NCAA Division II second-round playoff loss.

Null, who guided the Buffaloes to their third consecutive outright Lone Star Conference title, finished the season with 4,134 passing yards, 41 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.

North Texas 27, Western Kentucky 26: Former Badger Brock Stickler caught three passes for 38 yards to help lead the Mean Green to its second win of the season.

The Mean Green (2-9 overall, 1-5 in the Sun Belt Conference) is scheduled to close out its season against Florida International on Saturday.

On the season, Stickler has caught 32 passes for 341 yards and a touchdown.
