The San Antonio-Lampasas Club met Nov. 4 at LaFonda Restaurant in San Antonio.
After a social hour, Carey Deckard welcomed members and guests, and Harry Hollister offered a prayer of thanksgiving for the gathering.
Bobbye Alexander Behlau presented a history of the club which was organized in 1991 by Sarah Northington Fox, Cynthia Almond Jones and Mrs. Behlau to bring together former Lampasans residing in San Antonio.
The group has met twice each year since its inception, and now holds one of its yearly meetings in Lampasas.
Mrs. Behlau introduced visitors and presented them keys to the city of Lampasas, a gift from Mayor Judith Hetherly.
Guests included Pam Schnaubert, Doug Davis, Laura and Reggie Odom, Sarah Justice, Ken and Katherine Wardell, Sally Dacres, Corky Goodwin and Keith West.
Others present, along with Hollister, were Harrell and Nell Witcher Sutherland, Jack and Betty Mason, Cynthia Almond Jones, Carey and June Deckard, Sarah Northington Fox, Albert Oakley, Royce Vickery and Joe and Bobbye Behlau.
After dinner, Deckard thanked his wife and Mrs. Behlau for organizing the November event and paid tribute to members who have died, most recently, Larry Jones.
Before closing the meeting, Harrell Sutherland, pipe master of the San Antonio Bagpipe Corps, played the Lampasas High School song and "Amazing Grace."
Deckard gave the closing prayer.
