Feeding her dwarfs
Snow White (Lois Benoist) was one of numerous storybook characters that appeared at Kline Whitis Elementary last week for the school's second daylong extravaganza of costumes and fun to promote reading and to highlight the library and its books. Youngsters, teachers and faculty members dressed for the occasion in all manner of story character garb. From 101 Dalmatians to Rapunzel, and princesses dressed in vibrant colors to a few frogs tossed into the mix, fairy tale characters could be seen throughout the campus. Students also played a variety of games and collected food for the campus' annual drive for local needy families. Librarian Julie Salvato organized the special reading event.
