Lometa girls' basketball goes 1-3 on the week The Lometa Lady Hornets basketball team won one of its three games last week, beating Cherokee and losing to Priddy, the Cisco junior varsity and Santa Anna. On Thursday, they played neckand neck with Priddy for three quarters before Priddy exploded for 20 fourth-quarter points and a 51-37 win. Taylor Bradley led the Lady Hornets with 15 points, including a 3-pointer. Jeanette Rosales scored eight, and Kylee Bradley and Maria Jasso added five and four, respectively. On Friday, Lometa topped Cherokee 41- 32 behind 11 points from Rosales and 10 from Taylor Bradley. Nayla Rosales scored six, and Kylee Bradley and Elisha Whisenhunt chipped in four apiece. On Saturday, the Lady Hornets outscored the Cisco junior varsity 20-15 in the fourth quarter but fell, 57-55. Marcy Garcia and Taylor Bradley scored 13 points apiece, and Maria Jasso added 12. Jeanette Rosales scored nine, and Kylee Bradley chipped in five. On Monday, the Lady Hornets fell to Santa Anna, 45-35. Garcia scored a team-high 13 points, Taylor Bradley chipped in eight, and Jasso scored four. Lometa is scheduled to play host to Evant at 5 p.m. Tuesday. |
