Art club plans upcoming events Lampasas Art Club met Nov. 12 at the Gallery on Third and Live Oak for its regular monthly meeting. Activities planned for December include participation in the Dec. 7 Carol of Lights on Courtyard Square. The gallery will be open for visitors from 5-9 p.m. Club members will be on hand to greet visitors and to assist them in touring the gallery, with displays of art, crafts or collectibles. There also will be artists and craftsmen giving demonstrations on works in progress. Elizabeth Schenelle of Marble Falls will present a special demonstration from 6-9 p.m. on the techniques of clothing embellishment. Artist of the Month is Judy Parnell, with a special display of her work in the front of the gallery in the foyer of My Girls. Ms. Parnell has selected a variety of ceramic pieces as samples of the range of her expertise in her art. More of her work may be seen in the gallery. In other club news, a trip is planned to attend the Central Texas Arts and Crafts Show, and members will travel to Salado to visit art galleries and other places of interest. The treasurer reported the Citywide Garage Sale project and bake sale was a success, and she thanked everyone for their assistance with donations or time volunteered.
