Null's 6 TD passes spark come-from-behind win

With his team trailing 14-0 at the half in an NCAA Division II opening round playoff game, former Badger Keith Null responded with six second-half touchdown passes in a 40-39 win against Washburn University.

Null threw for a career-high 498 yards in the game, improving his team's record to 12-0 and setting up a showdown Saturday on the road against DII power Northwest Missouri (10-1) in a second-round game.

Mary Hardin-Baylor 52, Trinity 23: UMHB proved too strong for the Tigers of Trinity with an NCAA Division III opening round playoff rout in Belton on Saturday.

The Cru (10-1) will play host to North Carolina Wesleyan in a second round game at noon on Saturday. Trinity ends its season 9-2.

The lone star for Trinity was Lampasas graduate Chris Coleman, who caught seven passes for 115 yards, including a 36-yard touchdown. For UMHB, former Badger Kristen Leverett recorded two solo tackles in the game.
