Club members travel to Goldthwaite

The GFWC/TFWC 36 Club met for a sack lunch and a field trip Nov. 8. After eating at First Presbyterian Church, they carpooled to Goldthwaite to Kreations, where owner Annette Leverett spoke to the group on decorating one's home for Christmas.

At Kreations, Ms. Leverett demonstrated ways to make one's home more decorative for the holidays, using items in the shop. Members received countless ideas and items for consideration.

Eighteen members and a guest, Becky Isom, were in attendance.

During lunch, Crystal Hammett, president, conducted a brief business meeting. She encouraged members to support Preservation Lampasas' quest for a grant to work on the Lampasas Colored School by writing a letter of support.

The club's Christmas Social is Dec. 13 at 6:30 p.m. at My Girls. Each member is encouraged to invite a guest.

Hostesses will be members of the Social Committee, Gail Callahan, Martha Green, Kay Boone, Ellen McFarland, Kay Briggs and Jane Shrader.
