Grilling demo
Colorado River CattleWomen helped sponsor a recent 4-H grilling demonstration given by Lampasas County Extension Agent Jason Byrd. CattleWomen purchased the beef and seasonings used in the demonstration. Byrd spoke about meat safety, meat temperatures and different cuts of meat. A number of 4- H'ers picked a cut of meat and grilled it to their desired temperature. Once the meat was cooked, parents and 4-H'ers had a taste-testing session.
